A Few of My Favorite Things…


Entire produce section: If you’re looking for fresh, organic, local produce, Pomegranate’s produce section is the place for you! There is always a wide array of both common and unique produce items that are always fresh and delicious! The strawberries have been especially sweet and juicy this spring :)

Snap Pea Crisps: Warning – these things are addicting! They are a great alternative to chips in my opinion. With 4 grams of fiber per serving and only 120 calories, they work great for a light, healthy snack.

Taco Tuesday at the Bistro: My favorite day at the Bistro! The tacos and burritos are absolutely delicious. Tacos come in either chicken or beef with cilantro, onion, and crema. Burritos are also either chicken or beef, with southwest quinoa, tomato, onion, cilantro, cheese, and crema! Add delicious homemade guac for just a dollar! Seriously, you don’t want to miss out on Taco Tuesday!

Bulk Almonds: I’m a fan of trying different types of almonds, but I don’t always want to buy a huge bag of one specific kind. That is why the almonds in the bulk department are perfect! I can buy a small amount of multiple types of almonds to eat throughout the week. There are lots of delicious flavors, but even just the plain sprouted almonds satisfy me.

Teeccino Herbal Coffee: I’m not a coffee drinker (for multiple reasons), but I often crave a warm drink to wake me up in the morning. Discovering this herbal coffee we sell here at Pom was perfect! My favorite is the chocolate flavored dark roast.

Organic Milk: It baffles my mind that there are people out there who drink conventional milk… ;) But really, stop with the cheap, low quality milk and choose organic! All dairy cows raised for organic milk production are never given antibiotics or synthetic growth hormones. Plus, these cows are raised on 100% organic feed. Compared to conventional milk, organic milk has also been found to have higher amounts of nutrients such as vitamin E, beta-carotene, omega-3 fatty acids, and antioxidants. Go organic, please!

Salty Dog Dark Chocolate Bars: These things are heaven in a bar. Dark chocolate with a little sea salt. So satisfying. I try to limit myself to one square a day…but it’s hard :)

Kombucha: I drink a bottle of this tea pretty much everyday. It is a fermented tea. My favorite flavor is the Gingerberry. It is thought to stimulate the immune system and improve digestion. I always feel energized after drinking a kombucha.

Quest Bars: Best protein bar ever. My favorite flavor, Cookies & Cream, has 180 calories, 21 grams of protein, and 17 grams of fiber! And all of the flavors taste like a delicious treat.
